Do you see yourself being involved in this project?
Do you know any indigenous people that have a compelling
story to share?** Hello! My name is Bill Williams. I am
owner of BGW FILM STUDIOS. We focus on the self-reliance
and independence of the indigenous people by creating
documentary films that highlight students and
professionals. So far, we have interviewed a business
owner, who not only carves, he also teaches young people
to carve. What do you think?
When I was in elementary school, I was told I would not get past grade 3, with a
lot of hard work and being persistent I got past grade
3. I was born with club feet and after a series of
operations on my feet, I was still told that I may not
be able to walk straight. With a lot of hard work and
persistents I walked straight. Truthfully, I didn't want
to do it, learning to walk straight, a lot of falling and getting
up, a lot of falling and getting up, a lot falling and
getting up. Get it?
Are you keeping your options open when it comes to donating?
I talk to some of the street people who say the biggest struggles comes
during the Christmas season, because family spend time with each other.
It can get so lonely at times especially around 2 or 4 am, because at that
time there is no one around. And sometimes they start to cry! One year Sylvia
and I slept with the street people just to be with them, even if it was just
for one night. At first they were shocked, then they were happy. This year like
all the other year we want to give them gifts of gloves, scarves, winter hats, socks.
I know when these items gets wet or dirty, they are not as warm. I want to give
them a new one of gloves, scarves, and winter hats, as well as other stuff that
they may need. It's not like it use to be where I would only see single guys out
on the streets. I see single parents with kids, seniors and people that lost their
job and can't afford rent anymore. I give throughout the year until the warm weather
starts in April. If you want to be a part of this through donations of gloves, scarves,
winter hats, as well as other things like socks, etc. Let me know! And God Bless You!
